What is an earnings calendar?
An earnings calendar shows which public companies report their quarterly results, and when. Each report is a company's update on sales and profit for the quarter. We list every upcoming report with the date, the session, and what analysts expect.
What do "before open" and "after close" mean?
Companies report either before the market opens or after it closes. The timing matters because a stock can move sharply once the numbers are out, before most people get a chance to react.
How accurate are these earnings dates?
Every date carries a confidence label. "Confirmed" means the company has set the date or already reported. "Estimated" means one source has the date but it is not locked in yet. We never show an estimate as if it were confirmed.
What is an EPS estimate?
EPS is earnings per share: a company's profit divided by its shares. The estimate is the average of what analysts expect. After the report, you can compare the estimate to the actual number to see if the company beat or missed.
What is an earnings grade?
After a company reports, we grade the result A+ to F based on how it compared to what investors expected. Decades of data show that stocks which beat expectations tend to keep drifting up for weeks. The grade is research, not a buy or sell call.
